Workshop Refurbishment Project: HOWO Heavy‑Duty Truck Chassis Rebuild

Many overseas clients order heavy‑duty truck chassis without cargo bodies, for later local body‑building according to their actual application needs. Custom chassis refurbishment and assembly is completed inside our workshop, from frame overhaul, powertrain inspection to full‑vehicle reassembly.

For this project, the overseas customer required bare HOWO heavy‑truck chassis, ready for local body installation. The trucks will be fitted with dump bodies, tanker tanks or cargo boxes after arrival at destination, to serve mining, construction and freight transport operations. All assembly work is carried out in‑house within our production workshop.

Typical Overseas Demand

Buyers in many African markets prefer importing bare chassis rather than finished complete trucks.
‑ Import bare chassis and build bodies locally, which lowers total purchase cost;
‑ Custom‑make cargo superstructure matching local road conditions and cargo types;
‑ Flexible to build tipper, water tanker, fuel tanker, flat‑bed or stake bodies as required.

The customer’s core expectations: solid restored frame, fully inspected cooling system, reliable braking and steering assemblies, heavy‑duty off‑road tires suitable for rough roads, every wiring harness and pipeline properly routed and fixed.

Workshop Refurbishment & Assembly Process

Inside our spacious workshop, technicians carry out step‑by‑step chassis rebuild:

  1. Complete frame sandblasting and anti‑corrosion painting. Every welding point, mounting hole and suspension connection point is carefully checked to guarantee structural strength.
  2. Reassemble steering, suspension, axles and heavy‑duty off‑road tires. Test all mechanical connection parts for tightness.
  3. Install cooling module including radiator, intercooler and associated pipelines. Check hose connections, fasten all clamps to prevent leakage under long‑haul heavy‑load working conditions.
  4. Fit cabin assembly. Open front hood for full inspection of internal wiring, harness layout and electrical components. Install headlamp protective guards for harsh‑site anti‑damage protection.
  5. Full‑vehicle static testing: brake system, electric circuits, lighting and control components are all checked one by one. Eliminate hidden faults before vehicles leave the workshop.

Every key assembly step is photographed for customer reference. Customers can also arrange remote video inspection to watch workshop progress in real‑time.

Advantages of Our In‑house Workshop

‑ Independent workshop environment, all refurbishment and assembly finished under one roof, better quality control;
‑ Bare‑chassis supply service, leave superstructure body‑building to local overseas factories;
‑ Standard anti‑rust frame treatment, complete mechanical and electrical inspection;
‑ Supply chassis for tipper, tanker, cargo truck, fire truck and special‑purpose vehicle conversions;
‑ Full photos and video records of workshop production for each order.

Follow‑up Arrangement

Once workshop assembly and static testing pass, the bare chassis will be transported to seaport for container or bulk‑vessel loading, ready for ocean shipment. After arriving in destination country, local partners will weld and install cargo bodies on these chassis for daily commercial operation.

We support custom chassis refurbishment for HOWO, SHACMAN and other heavy‑truck brands. Whether you need finished trucks or bare chassis for local body‑upfitting, contact us for detailed offer.
